Therone Shellman

President and Publisher of Third Eye Publishing, Inc. Therone Shellman is also an author with a writing style, which is old school/new school. He has studied history and politics for 20years, as well as read some of the greatest of the black lit movement during the Harlem Renaissance. This background enables him to write stories that not just entertain but also provide history and facts to enhance the raw reality of events. Although, by the age of 15 Therone was hustling and did not care too much for school he always found time to read, and always had a magazine or book stashed somewhere near. At 16years old Therone knew one day he would write, not just to entertain, but also to educate as well. He read the local newspaper everyday and would think to himself, "This is amazing how they can fill peoples heads up with so much nonsense." It was at the age of 17years old and from a prison cell that Therone would write his first full-length story. Unfortunately, urban fiction in 1989 was not popular so the manuscript was rejected. Maybe it was fate because Therone in the coming years came to realize that he wanted to write stories which did not just appeal to African Americans, but ones which appealed to and spoke to all groups of people about whatever topic he was taking on. 14 years later Therone decided to self-publish and failed at the first try. He then took two years out to study and build up finances. In 2005 Third Eye Publishing, Inc. was formed and "Love don't Live Here" was released. Therone, attended Gothams Writers Workshop in Manhatten, Fall of 2006 for screenplaywriting level 1. In addition to writing novels, magazine articles and publishing he plans on writing movie scripts. He is even contemplating producing movies. One thing for sure, Therone plans to be around the literary scene for years to come. Therone Shellman is dedicated to the advancement of literature and is the Host of "Keepingitreal" a show which will highlight issues ranging from politics to entertainment with a heavy emphasis on literature and publishing.
